In short: Dr David Ganon is a plastic surgeon qualified in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery (France). He consults in English, French and Spanish in Paris 8th and Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, and operates at Clinique Alphand and Clinique Monceau. The first consultation costs €100; surgical fees are all-inclusive, and French law requires at least 15 days between the written quote and surgery.
AN ENGLISH-SPEAKING PLASTIC SURGEON IN PARIS
Dr David Ganon is a plastic surgeon in Paris, qualified in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery (France) and registered with the Paris council of the Ordre des médecins, the French medical council, under number 75/92735. He consults in English, French and Spanish, and conducts every consultation himself.
He trained in the Paris public hospital system (AP-HP), as a resident (interne) and then as a chef de clinique, a post-residency position in a university hospital, at Hôpital Saint-Louis. He now works exclusively in private practice, while remaining affiliated with Hôpital Saint-Louis.
He holds the French specialist diplomas in general surgery (D.E.S.) and in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery (D.E.S.C.), as well as university diplomas in the surgical anatomy of flaps, in microsurgery and in hand surgery. A member of SOFCEP, the French society of aesthetic plastic surgeons, he also trains other doctors in surgery and injection techniques.
CONSULTATIONS IN PARIS 8TH AND SAINT-MAUR-DES-FOSSÉS
Dr Ganon sees patients at two practices:
• Paris 8th: 10 rue Quentin Bauchart, 75008 Paris, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
• Saint-Maur-des-Fossés: 54 avenue Beaurepaire, 94100 Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, on Fridays (practice page, in French).
The first consultation is a medical appointment, not a formality. Dr Ganon listens to your request, reviews your medical history, medications and smoking habits, and examines you: an indication for surgery cannot be made from photographs.
He then explains what is technically possible in your case, what is not, the alternatives — including doing nothing — and the risks. He may also advise against a procedure: that is a medical answer, not a refusal.
Surgery takes place in a private clinic: Clinique Alphand (Paris 16th) or Clinique Monceau (Paris 17th), depending on the type of anesthesia and the procedure. Some procedures are done under local anesthesia and you go home the same day; others require general anesthesia and one night in the clinic.
MAIN PROCEDURES
Dr Ganon's practice centers on the face and neck. Four procedures are described in detail in English:
• Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery): upper lids, lower lids or all four, usually as an outpatient. On the upper lids, he treats the excess skin, the inner fat pad and, usually with fat grafting, the hollow above the lid.
• The G-Lift: the name he gives to his lower face and neck lift, completed at the end of surgery by subdermal radiofrequency (Quantum technology, InMode).
• The Quantum radiofrequency neck lift: a distinct, minimally invasive procedure under local anesthesia, combining targeted liposuction and subdermal radiofrequency, without a facelift.
• Facial fat grafting: your own fat, purified and reinjected where the face has lost volume.
He also performs injectable treatments (botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid, Radiesse), breast surgery, including reconstruction after breast cancer, and the surgical removal of skin tumors. These are described on the French pages of the site and can be discussed in English in consultation.
FEES, WRITTEN QUOTE AND THE 15-DAY COOLING-OFF PERIOD
The first consultation costs €100; follow-up visits are not charged. Payment is by card or cash. Dr Ganon is a secteur 2 surgeon in the French health insurance system: his fees may exceed the national insurance rates, and they are shown in full on the quote.
Surgical fees are all-inclusive: the surgeon's fees, the clinic fees (hospital stay and operating room) and the anesthesiologist's fees when one is needed, which is always the case under general anesthesia. Main fees:
• Blepharoplasty: €2,500 (upper lids), €2,800 (lower lids), €4,000 (all four lids).
• G-Lift, lower face and neck lift: €8,000.
• Quantum radiofrequency neck lift: €4,000.
• Facial fat grafting: €2,000.
The exact amount appears on the detailed quote, and all fees are listed on the fees page (in French). Procedures performed for aesthetic reasons are not covered by French national health insurance; some can be when they correct a demonstrated functional problem, such as upper-eyelid skin that reduces the field of vision, after prior approval from the insurer.
French law also protects your decision. For aesthetic surgery, you receive a detailed, dated and signed quote and written information on the procedure, and at least 15 days must pass between the quote and the operation (Public Health Code, articles L.6322-2 and D.6322-30), even if you would like to be operated sooner. During this cooling-off period, no payment may be required other than the fees for prior consultations.
PLANNING YOUR STAY IN PARIS
If you live outside Paris or abroad, the timeline follows a set order: in-person consultation and examination, written quote, at least 15 days of reflection, surgery, then follow-up visits. Under general anesthesia or sedation, a consultation with the anesthesiologist is also required, at the latest 48 hours before the operation.
The first post-operative milestones set the minimum length of your stay:
• Blepharoplasty: usually outpatient; stitches removed on day 5; makeup on the scars usually allowed from day 7; back to social and professional life within 6 to 20 days.
• G-Lift: one night in the clinic; compression dressing for 5 days; stitches and scalp staples removed on day 10; about two weeks of social downtime.
• Quantum neck lift: outpatient; compression dressing for 5 days; 7 days of social downtime.
• Facial fat grafting: often outpatient; bruising of the injected areas fades in 10 to 15 days; about two weeks of social downtime.
Follow-up is part of the procedure: dressings, removal of stitches and check-up visits over several months; follow-up visits are not charged. After surgery, Dr Ganon's patients can reach him at any time, day and night, on a dedicated line, and he answers it himself.
If you live abroad, discuss before surgery how your follow-up will continue once you are home: a complication can occur after your return, and it is important to know in advance who will take care of it.
BOOKING A CONSULTATION
You can book online from the appointment page, which gives the Doctolib link for each practice, call +33 7 83 79 83 71, or write to drdavidganon@gmail.com, specifying the practice you prefer: Paris 8th or Saint-Maur-des-Fossés.
A video consultation is possible for a first discussion before you travel: on the contact form, tick the box “Je souhaite une téléconsultation” (I would like a video consultation). It does not replace the examination: surgery cannot be indicated without an in-person consultation at the practice.
